Humans often hope to be rewarded after putting in an effort, for instance with money or acknowledgement. After an act of kindness, we often want the other person to accept it or be thankful. Yet life works in its own way. More important and more cherished, is all the feelings we experience. To give is not solely expecting to be rewarded, but to communicate our feelings during the process. Being able to help others is enough. We can learn to cherish everything we have.
