I believe the most important thing when expressing differing opinions 

is to pay attention to the means of delivery, 

the more blunt the point of view, 

the more careful we need to handle the situation in order to avoid hurting the receiving party; 

thus, I regard the possession of some just-right humour as uber-significant, 

being able to manage such situation properly
