Yo yo kookoo & friends,

Just thought i'll share some piccies up here of my trip to HK & China in March/April this year!!
Hope you will al enjoy it.....some of you may have been to these places but it was my first.....and i am so so glad I went....it opened my eye during this trip!!

Anywayz...here are the fotos of my first day in China...Enjoy...

















erm....i was daring enough to try some of the stall snacks....not all...but some...the skewer was quite tasty...of lamb & chicken...not the weird 1s......however, didnt try the fruit sticks....looked pretty but ....dusty??



relax......and back to sweet hotel that night.....nice....

hehe....i saw these ladies dressed like this...i had to take fotos of them....they gave me weird looks after.....oopsy....


Temple of Heaven...it was beautiful....i was just so AMAZED as to how did they manage to build this back in those dayz...the architecture was just awesome.....i cant emphasise how impressive i was.....beautiful......

the weather was nice and fresh....so much more comfortable than the humid sticky weather in HK

and here is the ...i think it was called "nine dragon tree"??...



i was mad taking fotos....took over 500 in 4 days...of everything & anything....
im glad i did.....as it brings so many good memories.....takes me back to that time......

....and my second day as follows....

'Cooling Palace' I call it, descriptive name as it was cold there...- "yee wor yuen"....another beautiful relaxing place.....


sorry....those two ladies in the way...but that's the only photo of cooling palace's front without me&my friend in it, sorly!!








apparently, the "chi hay tai hau" wrote those four words (above)



















i can't believe the royals back in those dayz had sooo many different palaces to stay at different times of the year....how much money did they spend....and how relaxing and great......the place was massive.........get you out of breath going from one side to the next.....good for keeping fit hehe




very artistic.....attention to detail....AMAZING!!





wonder how the women managed to walk along this long corridor with those mega high weird-soled shoes?!

if i remember correctly, the tour guide said the wealthier you were...the more of these rock/stone sculpture you'd have in the gardens:-

i'd really recommend going there if you're into history and that.......i just loved it...love seeing all these historic landmarks & monuments....so awesome...so much to see in the world!!
